The trend these days is to develop bespoke applications for deployment in a web based environment rather than for installation directly on the computer.

This web site was created using Visual Studio 2010 using ASP.NET, C#, AJAX and .NET Framework 4.0.

The tabs shown across the top of the page and the grid in the Portfolio were created using the Telerik RadControls for ASP.NET AJAX. The Portfolio demonstrates the AJAX powered RadGrid. Using AJAX allows only the grid to be refreshed when changing the filter options without refreshing the whole page.

The web site pages are maintained using KATSite a Content Management System developed by KA Technology to allow clients to maintain the content of their own web site.

This web site is hosted on a Microsoft Windows dedicated server for KA Technology. The page contents is stored in a SQL Server 2010 database.
